FIFTY 50 1/2 a Century...

My daughter, hubby & family all surprized me .. truly I was surprized of all the plans.... and had a very special birthday celebration. I am sure it is hard to plan something the day before Thanksgiving .. so it was a wonderful surprize that I recieved...the place had great ombiance & yummy appetizers...and outdoors casual elegant atmosphere! LOVE YOU !!!!

A Gift -Secret Sister

OKay so I finished my lap blanket. But what a mess...I had to recut, resew, pull out, you name it .. Dont mix broadcloth with fleece.. doesnt work. The fleece stretched on me and omg the entire blanket is kattywampus .. is that even a word? Well it fits the part. I was able to salvage it somewhat and add a flower like MARY E style to cover up some errors.. my sewing machine kept messing up and not sewing ..bobbin trouble - you Name it. But all in all this will have to do. I loved how my letters came out .. CRICUT .. MY NEW FOUND FRIEND. I cut out cardstock of the letters and than I used them as a pattern on materal .. i could use some more practiice tho on the zigzag.. I will just have to tell my secret sister - that This was my FIRST! I still like it after all that... just UNEVEN.. but can still keep her warm!

My Imperial Valley buddy came out (Again) coz she was leaving the state for the Holiday to Kentucky. She didnt wnat to miss the chance to bring me a 50th bday little something she had made just for me *.. And my crazy coffee habit... I was so excited and we got to SEW and shop at JOANN'S for a few more projects. OH And she taught me how to make Cloth Books for my grandbabies...It was a fun little visit!

My little OWL Material was so darling - I was trying to figure out what to do with it...Well we were "Grandparents Sitting" as My daughter & husb went to Charger's Game today so we kept all 4 darlings...Yep - a handful. But I actually had a few spare moments & all settled so I did complete a Fall apron & almost done with the Baby's Xmas receiving Blankie. THEN it was outside to play on the Hill behind our condo. They had a blast sliding down...Oh to be a child playing again!
